Are AI Girlfriend Apps Safe?
An AI girlfriend app is as safe as its policies. Before you share anything personal, check where chats are stored and for how long, who else receives them, how you pay and cancel, how it checks age, and how you delete it all; how Lazys answers each is below.

AI Girlfriend App Safety Checks
How Lazys does itWhat to Check
- Where chats are stored. Does the privacy policy say where chats live, and for how long? On Lazys: On our servers (Cloudflare), for up to 12 months after the last message or until you delete them; an anonymous chat goes after 30 days. Read it.
- No training, no sale. Are your chats used to train AI, or sold? On Lazys: Neither: chats, prompts and characters are not used to train or fine-tune AI models, and they are not sold. Read it.
- Who else reads them. Which outside company receives your messages? On Lazys: Wiro, which runs xAI’s Grok model, receives chat content to write replies and run safety checks, never your email address. Read it.
- Payments and canceling. Who takes your card, and can you cancel online? On Lazys: Stripe, through web checkout; Lazys never receives your full card number. Cancel from Account, then Manage billing, or by email; Premium stays to the end of the paid period. Read it.
- A real age gate. Does it ask your age before any chat, and are all characters adults? On Lazys: You confirm you are 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) before entering, and every character is a fictional adult aged 21 or older, yours included. Read it.
- No real people. Are copies of real people banned, and is the ban enforced? On Lazys: The creator refuses the names of real people, and the chat refuses sexual content about them; every message and reply is checked. Read it.
- A way to report. Can you report a reply or a character, and who reads it? On Lazys: Choose Report under any reply or in the chat menu, with no account needed, or email us; reports reach our team with the reply they concern. Read it.
- Deleting it all. Can you delete a chat, and the whole account? On Lazys: Delete any chat from the chat menu; email from your account address to delete the account with its chats, characters, favorites and unlocks. Read it.

Where Your Data Lives
The privacy policy should name the place and the time: which servers hold the chats, how many months they stay, and what happens to a chat you never tied to an account. Look for the AI provider by name too. An AI chat has to read your words to answer them, so the question is who else receives them and whether they also get your email address.
Lazys stores chats on Cloudflare and sends the character’s description, the recent messages and a memory summary to Wiro, which runs Grok, to write each reply. Chats are not end-to-end encrypted: our systems read them to reply and to apply the safety rules, and no person reads them to answer you. Transport is encrypted, and sign-in uses one-time email codes, so there is no password to leak. Processing may happen in the UK, the EEA or the US (international transfers).
Payments
Check who processes the card and where you cancel. A plan bought in the App Store or Google Play is canceled there; a web plan in the app’s own account page. Look for the renewal price and period before you pay, and for a refund page that says when money comes back.
On Lazys, Premium and coin packs are paid by web checkout through Stripe; Lazys keeps the plan, amount and status, never your full card number or security code. Weekly, Monthly and Yearly renew until you cancel; Lifetime and coin packs never renew (refunds and canceling).
Age Gates
An adult app should ask your age before the first chat, state its minimum in the terms, and give every character an adult age you can read on her profile. Some apps add a check through a vendor, such as a selfie estimate or an ID, which should return only a pass or an age band.
Lazys is for adults: you confirm you are 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, before entering, and the answer is remembered on that browser. All 92 characters are fictional adults aged 21 to 55, the creator refuses an age under 21, and the chat refuses minors and sexual content about real people (safety rules).
How Lazys Handles It
Every message and reply passes fixed rules and an AI classifier that flag minors, real people and messages suggesting a risk of self-harm; a message that suggests self-harm gets help lines instead of a reply. Refused messages are logged by rule and time, without their text. Each chat opens with a notice that you are talking to an AI and that the chat is fiction.
No advertising cookies, and personal data is not sold. To leave, delete any chat from the chat menu, or email from your account address to delete the account; a renewing plan is canceled with it (account deletion).
AI Girlfriend App Safety FAQ
Are AI girlfriend apps safe to use?
They can be, when the app says where chats are stored, sells none of them, checks age, bans real people and lets you delete everything. Read its privacy policy before you share anything personal.
Can an AI girlfriend app read my chats?
Its systems have to, to write each reply. Check which outside AI provider receives them and whether staff see reports. On Lazys, no person reads a chat to answer you.
What should I never tell an AI girlfriend?
Passwords, sign-in codes, card numbers, your home address and private details about other people. Treat the chat like any online service that stores what you type.
How do I delete my data from an AI girlfriend app?
Look for a delete option in the chat or account settings, and a privacy email for the rest. On Lazys, delete any chat from the chat menu, or email us to delete the account.
